School Carnivals
Planning Your School Sports Carnival?
If you're planning a school athletics carnival at Hudson Park, follow these simple steps:
1. Book Hudson Park by contacting the local Council to secure your preferred carnival date.
2. Coordinate with other schools using the venue during the same week. If you share the week with another school, you can also share the line-marking fee charged by our club.
3. Contact the Club Secretary to arrange the hire of athletics equipment and discuss any requirements for your carnival.
We recommend booking early to ensure your preferred dates and equipment are available.
Pricing
Hire Fee: $100
The equipment hire fee has been kept to a minimum and does not fully cover the cost of normal wear and tear, lost items or damaged equipment.
Schools are responsible for the replacement cost of any equipment that is lost or damaged during the hire period.
Please note that failure to return equipment in good condition may affect your school's eligibility to hire equipment from the club in the future.
Line Marking
Fee: $200
The line marking fee covers the preparation of the athletics track for your school carnival. If you have coordinated with other schools using Hudson Park during the same week, the line marking cost will be shared between participating schools.
Please note:

Fee sharing can only be arranged if the Council has been advised of all participating schools. If the Council is not aware of the shared booking, we are unable to allocate costs accordingly and your school will be charged the full line marking fee.

If wet weather washes out the line marking and there is sufficient time for our volunteer line marker to remark the track, a new line marking fee will apply.

If a washout affects carnivals that were originally sharing the line marking cost, fees will be adjusted to reflect the revised arrangements.
